UBC Sauder is accredited by AACSB, which provides internationally recognized, specialized accreditation for business and accounting programs at the all degree levels. AACSB Accreditation is known worldwide as the longest standing, most recognized form of specialized accreditation an institution and its business programs can earn.

We are also the only Canadian business school selected to be a member of the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM), a testament to our school's global status. World-class, diverse faculty

With over 100 professors from nearly every continent around the world, UBC Sauder faculty are currently ranked in the top 20 worldwide for business research by the Financial Times. 

As part of UBC Sauder’s diverse community of excellence, approximately half of UBC Sauder’s core faculty are fluent in at least one additional language, and about one-third regularly engage in international teaching opportunities each year.

Our history

The UBC Sauder School of Business is Canada’s leading academic business school, recognized internationally for our world-class faculty and excellence in research.

Located in Vancouver, British Columbia, the school draws from the internationalism of the city and its Pacific Rim setting to provide an unrivaled global business perspective. Today, UBC Sauder has partnerships with more than 50 institutions in 30 countries.

Our graduate school is named after Robert H. Lee, a long-term supporter of the school who graduated from UBC Sauder with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1956 – going on to become one of the city’s most successful businessmen. 

Our full-time MBA ranks in the top 20 according to recruiters worldwide, with 35 exchange partner schools in 22 countries. UBC Sauder also offers a highly regarded International MBA in Shanghai – fully approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education – in partnership with Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Antai College of Economics and Management. IMBA students are drawn from top multinational companies and Chinese enterprises.

UBC and UBC Sauder have an extensive alumni network in Hong Kong, mainland China and throughout Asia. Hong Kong is the largest base of alumni outside Canada. This network includes graduates of Sauder’s degree programs such as the IMBA in Shanghai, as well as participants of the Chinese Executive Programs. Many of Sauder’s PhD graduates are professors, deans and program heads of top business schools in Asia.
