Frequently Asked Questions

  • The fee for our open enrolment programs includes all materials. Refreshment breaks and lunches are also included for programs offered on-site.

    The fee is subject to, but does not include 5% GST. Although we reserve the right to change the program fees without notice, every attempt will be made to honour the fees posted on this website for the dates indicated.

  • Payment for each registered program is due prior to the start of the program.

    • To pay via Credit Card (We do not accept AMEX) - Please call our registration team at 1.800.618.3932.
    • To pay via Cheque - Please send your cheque payable to UBC Sauder School of Business at 1600 - 800 Robson Street, Vancouver, BC, Canada, V6Z 3B7
    • To pay via UBC Journal Voucher - Please email us a copy of a signed JV to exec.ed@sauder.ubc.ca

     

  • There is an underground parking lot available at our facility. To access the Impark 800 St. Robson Lot 110 location, travel to the corner of Howe Street and Nelson Street (Howe Street is a one-way street). Once you have entered the parking lot follow the directional signs to UBC Robson Square the below ground parking area. Please click here for more information.

  • The program fee is due and payable at the time of registration. An invoice will be issued and emailed to you immediately. If you would like to edit details on the invoice, such as the company address or add a PO number, please contact us and we will issue a revised invoice.

  • Programs attendance is limited; however, if there is space available, it is possible to accommodate for a last-minute registration at any time up to the day before the commencement date. If in doubt please call or email to confirm space availability. For self-serve registrations, you can check the availability for all our open enrolment program on the right-hand rail (a text indicator will show when there are fewer than 5 seats left per offering).

  • Withdraw or Transfer

    If you would like to withdraw or transfer from a program, please submit a written notice by email to exec.ed@sauder.ubc.ca.

    Refund Administration Fees (plus tax) may apply and is dependent on the date we receive your email notice prior to the program start date, please see the schedule below for any applicable fees:

    Attendance Substitution

    If you are unable to attend a program, you may substitute a colleague to take your place.

    There is no fee for this option, however you will need to notify us as soon as possible by email at exec.ed@sauder.ubc.ca

    Please include in your email: the program title and date(s), your colleague’s full name, job title, company name, address, phone number, email address and any of their dietary allergies and/or restrictions.

  • Please log onto your account here with your CWL username. Once logged in, click "Registration History" at the top and you can download the completion letter for any program you've taken.

  • If you are traveling to Vancouver from outside Canada and require a visa, please note that for our 1-3 day programs we are unable to issue letters of invitation. If you are planning to attend a week-long program in-residence, please contact us to review your eligibility for a program enrolment confirmation letter.

  • In-person open enrolment programs run from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm on the days indicated. Most are held at the UBC Robson Square campus. In-residence programs are held at a hotel in downtown, Vancouver.

    Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, our main location of UBC Robson Square is a vibrant learning centre that is easily accessible to learners throughout the Lower Mainland. 

    Robson Square is just a short walk from the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, where many of our in-residence program participants stay, as well as the many amenities of downtown Vancouver.

    The facility has more than 70,000 square feet of welcoming meeting rooms, program facilities, break-out areas, computer labs and reception areas. Click here for more detailed instructions on how to visit our facility.

  • For programs held at UBC Robson Square we recommend that you contact the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver for a preferred Sauder Executive Education rate (subject to availability).

  • For all programs delivered on-site, meals are included in the program fee. Breakfast is available at 8:00 am and lunch begins at noon. Light snacks and refreshments are provided in the morning and afternoon. We can accommodate for food allergies/dietary restrictions if information is given at time of registration.

  • We suggest a business casual dress code for participants. There are networking opportunities available during lunch and morning/afternoon breaks.

  • In the event of a last minute scheduling problem, we reserve the right to substitute a fully qualified speaker who is not listed in the program description.

    We also reserve the right to cancel or change dates of any executive program due to insufficient enrollment or extremely poor weather. If a program is cancelled for any reason, the University's liability is limited to a full refund of the program fee. Participants are responsible for their individual travel arrangements and costs. Travel insurance is recommended in the unlikely event that a program is cancelled or dates change – please ensure that the travel insurance purchased covers this type of cancellation.
