Yuan Shi is an early-stage venture capital investor, focusing on climate, food, and agtech. Prior to being a VC, she was the Director of Creative Destruction Lab – Vancouver, and she still provides special project advisory support to CDL-Vancouver. She is an active speaker and a mentor to companies in the startup ecosystem. As a woman of colour in STEM & finance and a first-generation immigrant, Yuan is actively involved in projects supporting underrepresented communities and has delivered social entrepreneurial initiatives in remote areas in Canada, Mexico, Cuba, China, and Spain.
